The Fair - 2019

Amidst very limited mental health professionals, these issues are being mishandled or ignored. With collaboration between science, the arts and technology, we can connect and guide the community here in Vietnam about mental health, to provide important support, information and guidance about this topic. This year’s Wintercearig Project “The Clearing” aims to bring the community together, collectively as a group, to help create a safe space for sharing, showing progress via artistic creations and long term support for the public here.

This is the 3rd installment of the Wintercearig Project to raise Mental Health Awareness in Vietnam through the Arts.

The Clearing - Based on the 20th century German Philosopher Martin Heidegger’s Lichtung, a metaphor of a clearing in a forest - the image of a pleasant glide, where the sunshines, encircled by dark and forbidden trees. It is an opening through which entities other than ourselves can emerge out of hiddenness, or are made visible by bringing into the light.
