Art Therapy for the Heart & Mind | Tricia Nguyen | TEDxHanoi
In a society that routinely denies the existence of mental health issues. When going through personal traumas, what are the ways to express your emotions without the fear of judgment? For Tricia, the solution she has found in how to overcome many of her fears was art, and it has helped her and many others along her journey to recovery. In many of their forms, telling your stories and sharing your emotions through your creativity. Self reflection and acceptance will set you free from your burden. Tricia Nguyen (Thanh Trang) was born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Studied at Rossall School, Lancashire, UK from the age of 9 and then went on to major in Textile Design and Fashion at Huddersfield University (England). Tricia has graduated with excellence from the HCMC Dance Academy and has performed for the Ho Chi Minh City Symphony Ballet and Opera. Currently she is the Artistic Director for The Open House Gallery. She has independently founded Wintercearig Project to raise awareness for mental health in Vietnam through contemporary art since 2017. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
